- Notify your landlord & make sure you have the necessary clearance documents signed off.
- Take all small valuable items: such as: i.e: diamond rings, Ipads, expensive jewelry, cellphones, wallets, etc, and ensure they are all locked away in a safe and secure place.
- Vicious dogs or animals should stay clear of our moving crew.
- Boxes should not be overly packed, as it can lead to breakage.
- It’s a good idea to have spare plastic crates to store items in.
- We use specialized moving blankets, but it’s still a good idea to have bubble wrap to move delicate items, such as mirrors etc.
- Please ensure that large items can fit through door/passage entrances (additional costs will apply, if gates or doors are/need to be removed.)
- Large furniture items, such as: headboards, dressing tables, bunk beds, often need to be disassembled. Please notify your moving company of these requirements.
- Please notify your moving company about any dangerous items, such as: gas, flammable items, snakes, guns, etc.
- Meat & food items should be put into a cooler box to prevent defrosting.
- Preparation work should be done before the day of the move, such as: packaging of curtains, boxes, etc.
- Tvs, mirrors, & paintings should be sufficiently protected by being bubble wrapped.
- Boxes should be marked correctly, ex: bedroom 1, bedroom 2, bedroom 3
- A early start to your move is better than a late start to your move.
- Any changes to the moving inventory list, needs to be done prior to the day of the move, as additional items will be billed for
- Please note that many items may not fit into your new place of residence, such as: beds, washing machines that don’t fit under the counter or through the doors, lounge suits etc.
- Wrap your items in the best possible way to ensure their protection.
- Don’t interfere with the moving crew, they have years of experience in their job/in what they do.
- Make sure the truck has access codes, so that the gates don’t close on the truck.
- Glass items should be wrapped carefully.
